Newsletter: June 2025
In June's newsletter, you can read, among other things, about what applies now that the standard vacation agreement has been terminated, our new board and that we have lower staffing during the summer.
Midsummer is approaching and for many of our members a long-awaited summer vacation awaits.
For most teachers, researchers and doctoral students, this means that the standard vacation (Swedish: schablonsemester) will soon begin - but there are also some who, in consultation with their employer, have chosen not to be included in it. Regardless of how the vacation is planned, we from the Saco-S association would like to take this opportunity to wish all employees a truly enjoyable and well-deserved summer!
The standard vacation - what applies now?
We have received many questions about the standard vacation since the current agreement has been terminated. Here is the most important thing to know:
- It does not affect this year's vacation - everything applies as usual in the summer of 2025.
- A new and improved agreement will be negotiated in the autumn.
- The goal is for the new agreement to be ready well in advance for 2026.
The 2025 salary revision
When autumn comes, the salary revision will start. We plan to hold salary seminars after the summer, but you can already watch our short videos about how salary revisions work: Salary revision videos

Have a nice summer!
Many thanks for the past academic year! We look forward to a new semester together – but first: Have a really nice summer!
Please note that we will have lower staffing during the summer, so our response times may be a bit slower.
Kind regards,
The Saco-S Association at Uppsala University
