Salary supplements for specific appointments
The information below comes from the Swedish version of the Guidelines for salary supplements and other terms and conditions, and adjustments of wages in conjunction with promotion and new expertise.
Specific appointments means appointments such as deputy Vice-Chancellor, Vice-Rector, deputy Vice-Rector, advisor to the Vice-Chancellor, dean, director, deputy director, head of department, assisting head of department, director of studies and programme coordinator or equivalent. In some cases, salary supplements can also be obtained for other appointments.
In order to promote a reasonable workload and good quality of the work performed, duties covered by a specific appointment are to be included in the total annual working hours. Other duties are to be reduced to a corresponding degree. Normally, an employee should not have several specific appointments at the same time. Appointments as head of department should not normally be combined with other specific appointments.
The salary supplement for specific appointments is paid in full, regardless of the scope of the appointment in question (In the case of part-time work, the salary supplement is however affected to the corresponding degree, see Villkorsavtal/ Villkorsavtal-T, chapter 6.).
