Remote work agreement
Last autumn, the Saco-S Association arranged discussion seminars on remote work in order to be able to pursue the right issues when we work for a remote work agreement. Work on this has continued and we will shortly submit a proposal for an intended agreement to the employer. Then we will see what their answer is, if they are interested in signing a collective agreement regarding remote work and which issues they are interested in negotiating. We will keep members updated on the matter as soon as we have new information.
Annual meeting
Are you interested in union work or is there something that you think the Saco-S Association should work on during the coming academic year? Participate on site or digitally at the annual meeting on April 23! The annual meeting begins with a seminar on vacation - what rights do we employees have, what happens to saved vacation when we leave our employment, how does the standard vacation actually work, etc.
It is important that you as a member use your democratic opportunity to influence the activities. If you are interested in doing union work, contact the nominating committee's convenor Eric Stempels.
Date and time: April 23 2024 at 13:15-16:00 o’clock
Seminar on vacation: 13:15-14:00 o’clock
Annual meeting: 14:15-16:00 o’clock

All members are welcome! If you are participating on site and want to have coffee and refreshments, register your attendance and any dietary preferences/allergies by e-mailing saco-s@uu.se.
Upcoming seminars
The Saco-S Association works on arranging various seminars to support and inform members about various issues. The following seminar is planned, and more will come during the semester:
April 5 at 12:15-13:00 (digitally): About the pension system
We will contact you separately regarding seminars, but also keep an eye on our website.
Do you have experience working with language and text editing?
The university is an international workplace and therefore it is important that even our international employees who do not yet know Swedish also receive information about their rights and about the union activities at the university.
The Saco-S Association is currently looking for a person who is interested in working to ensure that our information is available in both Swedish and English. You need to have knowledge of or experience in translation and preferably also some experience in text editing as an "editor".
The union work is carried out within the framework of your regular employment, which means that you need to have an employment to be able to get union trustee's time for the appointment. If you are interested in getting involved, contact saco-s@uu.se!
