Other salary supplements for specific appointments
The salary an employee at Uppsala University receives each month is compensation for work performed. The tasks for which compensation is paid may vary, both in number and degree of difficulty, and areas of responsibility may be added or removed. This is a natural variation in most jobs.
In exceptional cases, there may be reasons for a decision on a salary supplement other than for a particular appointment when an employee has temporary tasks or responsibilities that are outside of regular work. A salary supplement is thus always:
- time-limited,
- a compensation for tasks and/ or responsibilities that are not normally part of an employee's regular work,
- a supplement that ends when the employee no longer has the appointment or performs the duties to which the salary supplement refers.
A decision on a salary supplement other than a particular appointment must be in writing, limited in time to a maximum of one year and can be extended by a maximum of one year at a time. In connection with any extension and/ or in connection with salary review, the salary supplement must be reconsidered.
