Salary supplement for director of studies and programme coordinator
Director of studies
An employee who has been appointed as director of studies will receive a salary supplement as per table 1 below.
If several directors of studies have been appointed, the salary supplement may be based on the number of students for which each individual director of studies is responsible for. The salary supplement for a director of studies can never fall short of the salary supplement as per table 1, level 1.
In some cases, a higher salary supplement can be obtained, in a higher supplement group, based on an assessment of the scope and complexity of the appointment. When deciding on a salary supplement for appointments of great scope and complexity, the number of students at the entire department can be added up and the salary supplement calculated on the sum of these. Having an appointment as director of studies for doctoral students, solely or to a certain part of the appointment, can be a factor that affects the complexity of the appointment.
A deputy director of studies do not receive a salary supplement.
| Supplement group | Number of students | Salary supplement (SEK/month) |
|---|---|---|
1 | ≤250 | 4 000 |
2 | 251≤500 | 5 000 |
3 | 501≤1 000 | 6 000 |

The appointment supplement is based on the number of students, the calendar year (January-December) before the time of decision on the specific appointment.
Departments and equivalent are divided into supplement groups according to the number of registered students. The number of registered students means students with first-time registration and continuing registration. Re-registered students are not included unless they have a documented performance.
Programme coordinator or equivalent
An employee who has been appointed as programme coordinator or equivalent will receive a salary supplement as per table 1. Normally, a salary supplement for the appointment of a programme coordinator can only be granted for one person per program. Where the appointment is shared by two persons, the salary supplement is also shared. If a programme coordinator is responsible for two or more related programs, the total number of students in all programs combined shall be used to calculate the salary supplement. In some cases a higher salary supplement may be obtained, in a higher supplement group, whereby an assessment is made of the scope and complexity of the appointment.
