Salary supplement for deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-Rector
An employee who has been appointed as deputy Vice-Chancellor receives a salary supplement of SEK 29 000 per month. An employee who has been appointed as Vice-Rector receives a salary supplement of SEK 25 000 per month. When the appointment as deputy Vice-Chancellor or Vice-Rector terminates, a review of the salary is carried out, whereby normally a part of the salary supplement is converted into salary.
To assist in the repatriation of an employee at the conclusion of an appointment will be disbursed, to the department or equivalent organization with which the person is associated, funds for own research.
Furthermore, the employee will be guaranteed entitlement to their own time for skills-enhancing studies and research.

Conditions in accordance with the above applies normally and under the condition that the employee remains employed at Uppsala University. Costs for repatriation, including salary costs during the repatriation period, are charged to the function that financed the specific appointment. The distribution of salary costs that applied during the appointment period also applies during the repatriation period.
Decisions on repatriation are made by the Vice-Chancellor.
Deputy Vice-Rector also vice-chairperson of a Disciplinary Domain board
An employee who has been appointed as vice-chairperson of a Disciplinary Domain board and is thus a deputy Vice-Rector receives a salary supplement corresponding to a minimum of 25 % and a maximum of 50 % of the Vice-Rector's salary supplement. An assessment must be made of the scope and complexity of the appointment in each individual case.
In connection with the termination of the appointment as deputy Vice-Rector, a salary review is carried out, whereby part of the salary supplement is normally converted into salary.
Conversion of salary supplement to salary (normally) depending on duration of appointment:
- At least three years: 25 %
- At least six years: 50 %
Other conditions for such an appointment are agreed in connection with the appointment being assumed.
