Salary dialogue
The salary dialogue is about performance and can sometimes be be referred to as a performance dialogue, but it is called a salary dialogue because it is the basis for the manager's salary setting.
Prior to the salary revision, each employee must be offered a salary dialogue. It is a dialogue between manager and employee (or manager/ manager) with a focus on work performance/ output. The dialogue must be based on the assessment areas and salary criteria, ie which aspects of the work content have been assessed and the result of the assessment. The salary dialogue serves as a preparation for the local salary negotiations. It is also the first part of the salary-setting dialogue.
During the salary dialogue, your manager should:
- Explain on what grounds the salary is set.
- Give you feedback on the work performed.
- Explain the connection between goals - work effort - salary.
